It is an exact replica of the coin-operated music boxes which were found in every Swiss railroad station from the early 1900's to nowadays. It works mechanically with the drop of a quarter (Only a quarter!). The cabinet is made of walnut and was hand-crafted carefully by unique cabinet-makers. The dancing doll was entirely made by hand as well and the costume is representative of the early 17th and 18th Century clothing. The Reuge Swiss 3.72 note movement is wound by means of a hand-crank handle on the side. When a coin is inserted into the slot, the music begins to play and the doll dances. It is a beautiful show on its own and will mesmerize eveyone! A truly unique piece and of a certain age. It plays the following tunes: Anniversary Song (J.Ivanovici), Tales of The Vienna Woods (Strauss) and The Vienna Life (Strauss)."
